Why HP.com’s “Meet the Experts” is a moment of brilliance

In early 2012, we published a case study about how IBM Software Group was using social media and LinkedIn to harness the power of tribes. It was a brilliant social media marketing strategy that has, by and large, gone the way of the dodo bird as this site has drifted off the rails over the past 12 months.

That doesn’t mean, of course, that the strategy is dead. Far from it. Under the theory that imitation is, indeed, the sincerest form of flattery we have the new and improved HP.com’s “Meet the Experts” zone.

This zone is the end game in a new gambit that allows HP’s services prospects to meet its army of consultants, managers, and technical experts that deliver the goods.
