2017 Index Winners | HP steals first, Cisco sits at second, and IBM sinks to third

A few weeks ago, I made some early predictions about which Websites would lead the 2017 siteIQ eBusiness Index Rankings.  At the time, I forecast that three 800 pound gorillas — HP.com, Cisco.com and IBM.com — would, after a bit of musical chairs, each take a seat at the top of the Overall Performance roster once the final calculations were done.  Well, the team has finished crunching the numbers and the results are in, so it’s time to test my hypotheses.

Overall Performance | And the Winner Is…

…HP.com, which supports at least part of my premise that one of three 800 pound gorillas would be the Overall Performance leader. Further supporting my theory is that HP.com maneuvered right around Cisco.com — and IBM.com — to claim the winning chair when the music was done.

So, I’m two for two there…

What I did not anticipate, however, is just how rough a game of Musical Chairs our top gorillas were going to play. Overall Performance scores show though that HP.com (up from 3rd to 1st) triumphs by muscling past Cisco.com (stalled in 2nd) and handily body slamming IBM.com (down from 1st to 3rd) from the winning spot.

Similarly, SAP.com (up from 5th to 4th) wrangles its way up one slot and Dell.com (up from 8th to 5th) earns standing among the Top 5 after brawling its way up three positions in the rankings.
